Switching up from high fashion, Betsey Johnson announced her new collection of active wear. The line is based off of the fall 2013 runway show titled “BJ Kicks A.”
The 72-year-old designer planned on releasing the active wear for fall 2013, but the extension took longer than anticipated.
The fall 2014 collection includes performance-oriented pieces such as high-stretch nylon spandex leggings, heat-retaining fleece-lined zip-up jackets, shape wear pants and moisture-wicking T-shirts. True to Betsey’s style, the patterns include fishnet textures, jacquard, designs with open exposures, body mapping, peplum shapes, corset piping and bows.
Johnson, who is recognized for her high energy, said that she “hates working out.” Betsey’s new collection will definitely brighten ladies workout routines. In true spirit there will be no shortage of the pink patterns.
The line hits shelves in the fall of 2014 and will retail between $49 and $120. You can find it at Nordstrom, Macy’s and the Betsey Johnson's site.
