PRODUCT: Ciaté Flower Manicure in Strike A Posy

PRICE: $25

THE CLAIM: “With Flower Power prints adorning every catwalk at Fashion Week, this color-packed trend is a wardrobe staple and now a manicure must-have thanks to Ciaté Creative Director Charlotte Knight,” says the brand. “Using [naturally] dried pressed flowers, a posy of color can be applied and sealed directly onto the nail to create a beautifully blossoming effect. Scatter across your manicure or sprinkle onto a feature nail for a floral hit.”

OUR TEST: We applied two coats of the pink polish — Ferris Wheel — to our nails and let it dry completely. Then, we applied a thin coat of clear polish, and (using the tweezers) quickly laid a flower applique on the nails that we wanted the dainty details. After pressing gently, yet firmly on the flowers to ensure they adhered to the surface, we sealed everything in with another swipe of the clear top coat. Any nails that had parts of the petals hanging over the side were quickly cleaned up with the enclosed file. We carefully grinded the excess away so that everything was kept to the proximity of the nails themselves.

VERDICT: We love it! The process in its entirety is time consuming, and while we wouldn’t give ourselves the mani on the regular, it’s certainly a fantastic and unexpected change from the popular nail treatments we’re so used to seeing — especially for spring! We like how you can customize the look, too. You can place as little or as many flowers on your nails are you’d like — meaning you can create a different display each and every time you pamper yourself. The final result is nothing short of stunning, and we guarantee all of your gal pals will be chomping at the bit to copy your lovely look.
