Focusing on the future of fashion design, the ANDAM organization has just released their finalists for the 2014 ANDAM Award.
The French committee (National Association for the Development of the Fashion Arts) was founded by Nathalie Dufour in 1989 and serves the same function as the CFDA Fashion Awards and the British Fashion Awards in the USA and UK respectively.
And ANDAM president Pierre Berge told press they’re looking to “identify emerging talents in contemporary fashion design and offer them through this award, the means to produce a runway show during Paris Fashion Week, and to establish and develop their label in France over time, thus perpetuating the dynamism of the Parisian fashion scene.”
There will be two prizes ($342,000 and $103,000) awarded on July 3rd and finalists will be judged by a panel of 25 industry representatives.
The ANDAM Fashion Award finalists are Etudes Studio, Rad Hourani, Fausto Puglisi, Jean-Paul Lespagnard, Steven Tai, Iris Van Herpen and YiQing Yin.
