Art Imitates ... Fashion? Impressions Dior Exhibit Set for Summer

Headed to France this summer? You’ll want to stop by Dior’s garden party in Granville, where art and couture meet.
Dior will pair 70 of its finest dressed with impressionist paintings by Monet, Renior, and more of art’s greatest for a massive exhibition called Impressions Dior. But how does Dior plan on getting their hands on these one-of-a-kind paintings? They’ll be on loan from the Musée d’Orsay, the Musée Marmottan Monet, and other galleries.
Fittingly, the dresses will include some of Monsieur Dior's first designs from 1947, and Raf Simons’ more recent creations. Impressions Dior will also feature a “perfume path” made of thousands of roses, stemming from Christian Dior's aspiration to transform a woman into a flower.
The event will be open from May 4 to September 22, which leaves us plenty of time to book our tickets. Bon voyage!
