Badgley Mischka Debuts Fierce Fall Fashions For NYFW

Mark Badgley and James Mischka put on a fierce runway show as their fashion label debuted its fall 2012 collection at The Theatre at Lincoln Center during New York Fashion Week on Tuesday (February 14).

Celebrities such as Erin Andrews, Angela Simmons, Kelly Osbourne, Joan Rivers, Kate Mara and Shay Mitchell had the best seats in the house, as they were spotted front and center along the catwalk.

The design duo say they were inspired by the 1920s German flick, "Metropolis", and hoped to channel the futuristic armor-like costumes featured in the movie. Commenting on the adaption of their most recent creations, they explained, "The silhouette is long and lean, and doesn't have as much volume as we usually do. The film is black and white, so we colored it [their collection] the way we thought it should be.”

The pair opted for a mostly metallic gold and black color palette, with pops of pink and emerald green thrown in for good measure. Additionally, the autumn offering was made up of figure-hugging dresses and sophisticated pantsuits. One of our favorite looks from the runway was a floor-length, bronze sequin gown, which had chain fringe capping off the shoulders.
