New York Fashion Week is quickly coming to a close, and some of the best collections have been saved for last, as design house Marchesa debuted an incredibly exquisite fall 2012 collection at The Plaza Hotel on 5th Avenue yesterday (February 15).

A-List spectators included Jenna Dewan Tatum, Stacy Keibler, Taylor Momsen, Petra Nemcova and Bar Refaeli – all looking the picture of perfection while donning glamorous Marchesa fashions themselves. Prior to the runway show, Stacy tweeted, “Getting ready for show number two. So fun being in #NYC for @mbfashionweek … on way to @marchesafashion now.”

According to the label’s creative team, Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig, their inspiration came from Bouguereau’s 1878 painting, 'A Soul Brought to Heaven'. “We were looking at jeweled skeletons from the Catholic churches of Germany and Switzerland in the 15th century,” Craig commented.

The angelic collection was full of alluring and sleek eveningwear that featured elegant embroidery and strategically placed lace detailing. Billowing ball gowns also made their way down the catwalk, causing jaws to drop in amazement at their incredible design and structure.
