Reem Acra Rocks Fall RTW at NYFW
Reem Acra has become the the go-to for everything from the red carpet to an afternoon lunch date, and during the design house's Monday (February 13) showing and New York Fashion Week, the label gave us even more to look forward to for fall RTW 2012.
Celebrities such as Jenna Tatum, Coco Rocha and Ahna O’Reilly were sitting pretty in the front row, eagerly anticipating the Reem's newest line of stellar styles.
Acra said strong, yet feminine women inspired her new collection. "I kind of have this vibe around me. I'm like how do I dress these women? How do I give them this power?” To do so, she designed edgy daytime looks using leather as the backbone of each ensemble. Creating suitable, wearable attire for the working woman mixed with a little bit of attitude."
Her evening creations were perhaps the most stunning of all. “In a very subtle way they are on fire,” Reem explained. Turning up the heat on the runway with incredible metallic creations, the designer presented before the crowd figure-hugging gowns covered in sequins from head to toe. We’re willing to bet that many of these sexy silhouettes will be donned by celebs on the red carpet very soon as they made for the perfect award show or premiere attire.
