The who's who of the style industry gathered together this past week in The Big Apple always-anticipated New York Fashion Week. The most notable design labels debuted their stunning fall looks at the Lincoln Center among other various venues in front of packed houses full of eager spectators.

The showings themselves were nothing short of fabulous; they were more like extravagant productions, if you will. Designers truly pulled out all the stops - amazing spectators with not only the creations themselves, but also with the presentation of their collections.

While we were blown away with each offering, there were a few that impressed us more than others. Our favorites were particularly great for many reasons; wearability, design, detail, innovation and wow-factor, just to name a few. We’ve run down the best of the best presented at New York Fashion Week Fall 2012.

BCBGMAXAZRIA: Kicking off NYFW with a bang is a rather tall order, but leave it to Max Azria to set the tone for undeniably chic apparel that held the attention of every crowd-goer! His designs were clearly inspired by colorblocking – a look that is incredibly hot this season as well.

Jason Wu: Wu debuted his best collection yet at NYFW Fall ’12, hands down. His creations further solidified his super-designer status in the fashion realm, making his namesake’s label one of the most exciting to follow. We’re proud to say that he can ditch the “up-and-coming” designer label – Jason Wu has arrived.

Marchesa: Known for their exquisite eveningwear creations, Marchesa debuted yet another stunning line of gowns on the fall 2012 catwalk. The impeccable lace detailing in their designs landed them on the map second to none. We can’t wait to see these gowns again – next time, on the red carpet.

Reem Acra: From daytime apparel to nighttime attire - all looks were equally jaw dropping. Each ensemble was subtly sexy, exuding the type of class and sophistication women swoon after.

DKNY: Donna Karan has perfected options for the city-chic woman. Her looks were extremely wearable, stylish and trendy - leaving every lady in the room in lust. Our favorite part of her show was the presentation. Models walked directly onto the catwalk from a curb outside! What a way to depict true, New York fashion!

J.Mendel: This line reminded us of the wardrobe of a sassy socialite. Sophisticated and fashion-forward, each piece from the fall line was beautifully handcrafted and flowed on the catwalk effortlessly. Some of our favorite looks were the ones with the deep V-necks.

Vera Wang: The sheer creations debuted during Vera Wang’s runway show were superlative. Sexy, yet refined these light-as-a-feather pieces left us wanting more! The design house truly raised the bar for elegant styles of women’s wear for fall.

J.Crew: Noted for it’s preppy-chic persona, J.Crew debuted a line of extremely every day, yet totally trendy clothes for the every fashionista. The bold colors and sleek lines incorporated in every piece were impeccable. We also loved how the label showcased the perfect mixture of feminine and masculine fashions for woman, creating a very favorable look among spectators.
