Scents of the Season: 10 Sultry Fragrances for Fall

If you think you love the fashions for fall, wait until you catch a whiff of the season’s favored fragrances.

The most popular notes to be featured in autumn's sexy spritzers (to name a few) are ginger orchid, orange flower, gold amber, green pear, root beer and pink pepper, which are all things seductive, sultry and mysterious – three traits women everywhere can agree are total must-haves when it comes to a choosing a signature scent.

While there are a slew of new perfume collections being released this fall, there are 10 in particular we’re obsessing over right now.

Bon Chic from BCBG, $55: The seductive perfume boasts top notes of black raspberry, Asian pear and mango; middle notes of pink peony, violet and orange blossom, and base notes of soft woods, vanilla and cashmere musk. Packaged in a sleek gold bottle capped with the brand’s butterfly logo centered in a blossoming flower, this swanky product is sure to be dubbed an autumn favorite.

Nicole by Nicole Richie, $55: The first signature perfume for the celeb, this silky scent features notes of blackberry, orange, golden amber, Moroccan rose, cashmere, sandalwood, sugared patchouli and vanilla absolute. Described by the style maven herself as “soulful,” Richie says the enticing fragrance is a combination of aromas derived from her own style preferences as well as those from her mother.

Gucci Première Fragrance, $87: With Blake Lively as the fragrance’s poster girl, this potent product was surely one to gain favor with woman everywhere. Created by Gucci to ‘celebrate the star in every woman,’ this elixir boasts top notes of bergamot and orange blossom with strong base notes of leather and wood.

Manifesto from Yves Saint Laurent, $66: Fronted by another famous face, Jessica Chastain, YSL’s latest passion-filled fragrance is described as spontaneous, free spirited and courageous. Manifesto boasts top notes of green wave, bergamot and black currant, firmly rooted in a woody, oriental base of cedar, sandalwood, vanilla and tonka bean.

Fame Perfume by Lady Gaga, $55: When asked to describe the scent, the star said it would smell like "blood and semen… tears of Belladonna, crushed heart of Tiger Orchidea with a black veil of incense, pulverized apricot, and the combinative essences of saffron and honey drops." With that kind of response, we’re snagging this scent out of pure curiosity. Others in the beauty industry have had less intense interpretations, comparing the aroma to that of melted candy and caramel apples.

Coco Noir from Chanel, $98: Never a label to disappoint, Chanel has impressed the masses again this season with their most recent scent, Coco Noir. This mega-magnetic perfume is incredibly intimate and intensely seductive – we’re sold! It’s equipped with top notes of grapefruit and bergamot with base notes of Indonesian patchouli and sandalwood.

Bvlgari Jasmin Noir L'Essence, $105: A product of pure elegance and glamour, this scent oozes sensuality and seduction. It’s the perfect option for the woman looking to entice, yet still remain refined and sophisticated. It comes with strong top notes of pink peppercorn, tangy bergamot, jasmine, almond, and myrrh with a dense, woody base.

Givenchy Dahlia Noir Eau de Parfum,$90 Described by the label as a scent that, “embodies the mysterious, singular radiance of a woman's graceful power,” this luxurious fragrance has been dubbed one women everywhere shouldn’t live without. The first scent to be created under the direction of Riccardo Tisci, this exotic spritzer exudes top notes of tonka bean, sandalwood and patchouli, with lush base notes of rose, iris and mimosa.

Dolce & Gabbana The One - Lace Edition, $75: Described by some to caress skin like lingerie, this oriental fragrance is all things sexy, mysterious and provocative. Encapsulated in a gorgeous lace-wrapped bottle, this alluring perfume includes notes of bergamot, mandarin, lychee, peach, lily, muguet, jasmine, plum, vetiver, amber, musk and vanilla.

Viva La Juicy La Fleur by Juicy Couture, $70: One that embodies every part of being a woman, this fabulously flirty fragrance is said to be inspired by first love. Strong and alluring, La Fleur is one to awaken every one of your scenes with entrancing top notes of wild berries, mandarin, honeysuckle, gardenia petals, jasmine, vanilla, caramel and sandalwood.
