Party On! DIY Dry Shampoo to Get You Through the Morning After

Last night’s hair was flawless! This morning’s, however? Not so much.

Your strands look oily from the product you used yesterday, which, in turn, is sucking all the volume from your head right now. To make matters worse, you have less than 30 minutes to get ready for the day. Our solution? Skip the suds and opt for time-saving dry shampoo instead. And, not just any ol’ dry shampoo — rather, the DIY kind.

Whether you have light or dark tresses, we have the remedy you need to ensure second (or third) day hair always looks its best. Here's what you'll need:

For Light Hair:
- 1/4 Cup arrowroot or cornstarch
- 5 Drops of the essential oil of your choosing.
- An old makeup brush

For Dark Hair:
- 2 Tablespoons cocoa powder
- 2 Tablespoons arrowroot or cornstarch
- 5 Drops of the essential oil of your choosing.
- An old makeup brush

How to:
- Combine all dry ingredients with the five drops of essential oil.
- Put in a glass jar for easy storing.
- To use, simply dip an old makeup brush inside and sweep the pigment onto your roots.
- Voila!
