Looking to expand her already impressive fashion empire, Monique Lhuillier has announced an engagement ring and wedding band design collaboration with online jeweler, Blue Nile.

The collection has been dubbed, Monique Lhuillier Fine Jewelry, and will be made available exclusively at Blue Nile sometime in October of this year.

Launched in 1999 by Mark Vadon, this marks the very first designer-branded partnership for the jewelry company. According to current chief executive officer, Harvey Kanter, “Monique is one of the hottest bridal designers out there. So we went out and looked for a partnership and she made a lot of sense. It’s all part of our continued pursuit to continue to take advantage of and create an interactive experience with the woman who comes to our site but doesn’t find the level of fashion she’s looking for.”

Lhuillier commented on the collab saying, “It’s a natural progression. We reflected on how we wanted to grow our business and our company. It just took us a while to find the right jewelry partner.”

“Usually the bride gets her dress after the engagement ring,” she further stated after noting how nearly one third of brides these days hint at the exact style they want from their fiancé, “With the rings, we’re getting in front of the bride earlier in the process.”

The designs from this sure to be swanky offering reflect Monique’s signature feminine touch in the form of delicate engraving and tiny pavé details. The settings range anywhere from $2,500 to $5,000 and the stones separately are sold anywhere from a few thousand dollars up to $1 million.
