Upscale Jewelry Brand Moda Operandi Loses CMO

Moda Operandi is losing yet another employee … what is going on?

Chief Marketing Officer Ashley Bryan, who has been with the company since November 2011, is leaving the upscale jewelry brand to transition into Ippolita's CMO.

Bryan's departure follows those of Elizabeth Cordry, director of product, and Indre Rockefeller, general merchandise manager and creative director of trunk shows, who both departed last month. Back in 2013, Creative Director Taylor Tomasi Hill and CEO Aslaug Magnusdottir also went their separate ways.

As terrible as this may sound, the company is actually thriving. At the end of last year, the brand raised 20 million dollars and saw a 130-percent raise in revenue. Not only are they bringing in the big bucks, but Operandi also launched its first-ever mobile shopping app right before Fashion Week in February, which spearheaded the brand to the forefront of the digital world.

From the sounds of it, the brand isn’t going to have any problems keeping those numbers up. Last week they announced three new hires: Mary Chiam, as vice president of merchandising, Former Gucci employee Elizabeth Morgan, general merchandise manager of Moda Operandi’s boutique, and Amalia Kermaitsis, director of fine jewelry and watches.

Moda Operandi’s motto must be out with the old, in with the new.
