Kate Middleton Tends to Mommy Duties in Red Catherine Walker Coat

Talk about a lady in red! Making a much anticipated arrival, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge touched down in Wellington, New Zealand on Monday (April 7).
Toting her adorable tot Prince George, Kate looked gorgeous in a bright red Catherine Walker coat, matching Gina Foster hat, black pumps and a diamond fern brooch borrowed from the Queen. The fern is New Zealand's national symbol, so wearing it was a subtle sign of respect.
Catherine Walker, the designer of that perfectly-polished, double-breasted jacket, is said to have been one of Princess Diana's favorite designers. Though it looked flawless on her svelte figure, Middleton had a near wardrobe malfunction when a massive gust of wind rolled through while carrying eight-month-old baby George. Luckily, Kate was able to pin it down just in the nick of time, although not before flashing the shutterbugs a look at her long legs.
William never drifted too far from her side, looking dapper himself in a tailored suit and maroon tie that almost matched his wife's dress — but not quite. (Next time?) Prince George was dressed in an adorable cream-colored cardigan and looked tired from a long flight.
This is only the first leg of a three week tour, which will take the young family to both New Zealand and Australia. They will visit thirteen towns and participate in forty-five official engagements, so there's bound to be a lot more fashion coming.
