Styles from the 70s are proving to be some hottest trends of this season, and one of our favorite looks from the hippie-chic decade are high-waisted pants and shorts.
Uber-chic and sophisticated and when worn correctly, this style also makes your waist look teen-tiny and your legs look sky-high!
Everyone is capable of rocking a pair of high-waisted pants. The one thing to remember when putting together an outfit with this particular article of clothing is to pair it with a tailored top. The goal is to maintain an hourglass silhouette and anything too billowy or full of volume will cause your outfit to look baggy more than anything.
However, if you’re wearing a pair of high-waisted shorts, you CAN wear a looser-fitting top. A flowing blouse would be the perfect match for some high-waisted acid wash cut offs! Additionally, you can pair the looks with a platform sandals helping to elongate your legs even more - making them appear a mile long!
