Hot Spring Trend Alert: Pleated Midi/Maxi Skirts!
With 2011 under our belts, it’s time for a new year, a new you and new trends!
While the Spring/Summer 2012 runways were chock-full of stunning designs and fashions, one of our most favorite looks for the season that ruled the catwalk was the pleated midi/maxi skirt!
Prada, Chloe and Jill Sander were among the many designers who debuted pleated designs on the S/S 2012 runways. The pleated skirt encompasses all things feminine while still keeping your look sexy and chic. The pleated lines create a rather dainty look but the flow of the skirt itself is what keeps things sassy.
For a great spring look, wear a pleated midi or maxi skirt with a loose fitting T-shirt or blouse, tucked in. Add a pair of chunky heels or sandals to top off your boho-chic look. You can accessorize any way you’d like with this look – wearing long necklaces layered together or a chunky necklace with some bangles. Both options would be great ways to polish off your hot new look.
