A Menswear-Inspired Look we Love: The Tux Dress

We’ve been borrowing certain styles from the guys for a few seasons now. Boyfriend blazers, fringed loafers, and tailored trousers were (and still are) some of the hottest trends on the market.
Now, for spring 2014, we’re setting our sights on another menswear-inspired look we saw a lot of on the NYFW runways — the tux dress.
Characterized by its double-breasted front, notch labels, and suit-like appearance, the frock is all things classy, chic and sophisticated. It’s a great piece to wear on your 9-to-5, but also works as a sexy late-night option as well.
For many styles, a thigh-high slit and/or belted waist is added to give the look some feminine flare. We pulled together a handful of styles we’re swooning over this season for you to shop below. You’re welcome.
