We're avid fans of waterproof cosmetics, especially in the summer. However, we find ourselves stuck knee-deep when it comes time to remove the pretty products.

The beauty world already offers a handful of makeup removers, but some contain unnecessary chemicals that damage our eyes and leave us with a lack of lashes — no thanks.

Lucky for all, we found an organic alternative to remove the trickiest mascara, eyeliner and lip stains — Coconut Oil. From kitchen to beautician, this little jar of heaven is becoming our favorite over-the-counter concoction.

Read on below to find out how you can remove your waterproof makeup in a cinch.

What you’ll need:
-Organic Coconut Oil
-Cotton pad

How to:
-Dip fingers into tub of coconut oil and grab about a dime-sized amount.
-The coconut oil will begin to melt quickly due to your body temperature, so begin gently rubbing your eyes immediately.
-Continue to rub your peepers on both the top and bottom lids until you feel the makeup melt away.
-Take the cotton pad and remove the excesses oil.

Side note: If you applied lip stain or filled in your eyebrows with a waterproof brow pencil follow the same steps above.
