'Real Housewife' NeNe Leaks Gets Her Own Clothing Line
Raising her public profile a bit, NeNe Leaks has announced she’ll be coming out with her own signature line of ladies’ apparel.
The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” starlet recently signed a licensing deal with Beanstalk as she makes her transition into the fashion realm.
A rep from Beanstalk said the company planned to “leverage NeNe’s position in pop culture to offer consumers fashion-forward, affordable apparel and accessories, designed to empower women to walk into a room and ‘own it’ -- like NeNe herself.”
CEO Michael Stone explained, "While the fame of reality television characters is often short-lived and fleeting, NeNe Leakes has displayed versatility that has enabled her to transition from being a Real Housewives personality to a featured television star on Glee. NeNe's multifaceted personality and aspirational style will translate well into products that will emotionally connect with her fans."
Meanwhile, NeNe’s manager Steven Grossman added, “Her no-nonsense demeanor and entrepreneurial spirit has allowed her to amass a loyal fan base that shares her ambition. Through the launch of authentic and compelling consumer products, NeNe will have the ability to enhance the connection she maintains with fans and extend beyond her existing entertainment platforms.”
