Yves Saint Laurent: Firmly Feminine at Paris Fashion Week

Adorned in high fashion femininity sure to make a statement, Yves Saint Laurent hit the catwalk with its latest collection of luxury styles in Paris on Monday (March 5).

Offering up the last-ever offering from creative mind Stefano Pilati, models were sent down the runway in all the glitz and glamor followers have come to expect.

Polished off with sleek chignons and ruby red stained lips, equally dramatic ensembles of structured leather tops, belted waists, slim-fitting trousers and knee-length frocks made their way down the runway.

As for Pilati's sediment as he watched his final designs for YSL make their debut, he told WWD, “I accomplished what I’ve been asked to. I accomplished what I wanted. I didn’t really see myself in 25 years at Yves Saint Laurent. It was an experiment, but I’m happy either way...I’ve been here seven years, and my contract expires, and I’m fine to move on. I had the time to understand that certain things could change. I love fashion, I probably will love it forever, but it is a medium to be maybe somewhere else, or maybe interact with other aspects of our business.”
