Keeping his legal team busy, Karl Lagerfeld received notice that New Balance is suing him for infringing on their sneaker design for his own namesake shoes.
The popular athletic brand says that Lagerfeld has ripped off the basic elements of their 574 line and they’re not happy about it.
According to the official statement, “New Balance has filed a lawsuit against Karl Lagerfeld to protect our intellectual property rights related to our iconic Lifestyle footwear designs."
Of course, Karl’s creations are much pricier than NB’s, as one pair of Lagerfelds will run around $360 versus New Balance’s $50-$80 range.
