Kenneth Cole Readying Return to the Catwalk
He’s been absent from the New York Fashion Week scene for the past six years, and now Kenneth Cole is ready for a Big Apple comeback.
The famed designer can’t wait to get his new duds on display, celebrating the 30th anniversary of his label. Of course Cole has a more creative way of expressing it- the 9th coming of his 21st anniversary.
Kenneth joked, “21 is a lot cooler than 30,” also noting that the arrival of consulting creative director Kobi Halperin has been full of revelation.
"The goal has been to elevate slowly, methodically; to continue to be more relevant, and reintroduce ourselves to the Kenneth Cole woman, from the ankle up," Cole gushed.
"The world is changing so much, the purpose of a runway has changed. We're thinking about it in a way that makes sense—how to make it more timely, more relevant."
