Logo-Less: Selfridges to Take the Branding Out of Buying

While a brand’s logo symbolizes its reputation for quality and style, Selfridges is looking to simplify the landscape of their stores with a new campaign.

The “No Noise” concept is designed to urge “customers to seek tranquility in a world that bombards us with information,” according to a store rep.

Selfridges has asked companies to tone it down when it comes to slapping their logo on their goods, and will sell said unbranded products in hopes of setting a new trend beginning January 11th, 2013.

However, it’s unlikely that everyone will be on board, given that splashing out thousands of dollars on a Louis Vuitton handbag may seem less appealing sans status symbol.
