Monica Bellucci: The Face of Dolce & Gabbana's Next Beauty Line

Tapping an old friend to front their latest creation, Dolce & Gabbana have named Monica Bellucci as the face of their new beauty collection.

Having modeled for the Italian design house several times before, using the brunette stunner again was an easy choice, according to Gabbana.

“We are very old friends of Monica’s. We must have met in 1989 or 1990. We really grew up together.”

Stefano added that Monica is "a fantastic woman, very sunny, very feminine,” and that working with her is "like working with a family member. She’s our icon, she’s the emblem of Dolce & Gabbana.”

As for her newest venture with D&G, Belluci will front the Monica Lipstick COllection - a limited edition offering that's set to hit stores on May 12.

Comprised of six complementary colors, priced at $39 each, the line's cover girl told WWD, “The idea for the collection was to create different shades, different colors depending on your mood of the day, your state of mind. I love all shades in the collection and feel drawn to the different colors, depending on how I feel.”
