Target Employees: Feeling a Little More Comfortable

It’s no secret that Target has been on a downward spiral ever since their holiday data leak had millions of consumers ordering new debit and credit cards, and the discount chain is trying everything to turn it around.
In an effort to boost employee morale (those that still work there, that is), the company’s Minneapolis headquarters just instituted a more relaxed dress code.
Asking workers to ‘dress for their day,’ Target is giving their team more say in their apparel. A company memo explains, "For example, a big day might call for something like a dress or a suit, or maybe even dressy jeans and a blazer. For a low-key day, jeans and a nice polo might be the answer."
"We all know that casual days, weeks or months make team members really happy. We also know that life's a little easier when we have more choices — and less dry cleaning."
