Be Mine, Valentine: DIY Beauty Concoctions to Help Prep For Your Big Night!

Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone! In honor of this special occasion, we are presenting you with two fabulous DIY beauty concoctions to slather on at home before your big date night!

One is a super-luxe exfoliating scrub and the other is a fantastic facial mask (both red in color, of course). You don’t want to get hit with cupid’s arrow with dry skin or a lackluster complexion do you? We didn’t think so. So, try both of these out!

Exfoliating Strawberry Sugar Scrub:
For those of you who don’t know, strawberries are an excellent source of vitamins and antioxidants for your skin and as well as your body. They are rich in B2, B5, B6 vitamins, vitamin K, copper, magnesium and salicylic acid, which is great for conditioning and tightening the skin. So, if you’re into that kind of thing, try this exfoliating scrub to experience a fabulous cleansing sensation for your entire body!

What you’ll need –
- 2 pureed strawberries
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- I tbsp. of Vitamin E oil
- 2 tbsp sugar
- Medium-size bowl for mixing
- Mason jar for storage (optional)

How to –
- Simply mix all of the above ingredients together in a medium-sized bowl.
- Once everything is blended together, hop in the shower or bathtub and rub this sweet-smelling scrub all over your body.
- When done exfoliating, rinse the scrub off well with warm water.
- Moisturize when done with your favorite lotion!

Raspberry Honey Face Mask:
Red raspberries are loaded with Vitamin C, which is crucial for maintaining a health glow as well as battling off fine lines and wrinkles. Honey is a fabulous moisturizer and also contains antioxidants that help to fight off the germs that are known to cause acne. The oats in this recipe aid is soaking up any impurities from your skin, making for one stellar looking Valentine’s Day complexion!

What you’ll need –
- ½-cup pureed raspberries
- ½-cup honey
- ½-cup rolled oats
- Small mixing bowl

How to –
- Combine all the ingredients together in a small mixing bowl.
- Slather on your face and leave on for 10 minutes. Remove with warm water and moisturize afterwards.
