There are many sweet treats we look forward to indulging in throughout the holiday season—egg nog, chocolate-covered everything, and our ultimate fave, candy canes.
The sugary seasonal staple is undoubtedly delicious to consume, but did you know that peppermint also possess major benefits for your skin as well? It’s true!
When used in the form of an essential oil, the menthol actually brightens dull skin and helps to control excess oil production. By doing this, pores become clearer and more refreshed; meaning bye, bye to acne and hello to more luminous skin.
Today, we’d like to present to you one of our favorite peppermint sugar scrubs. It’s super easy to make and only calls for three ingredients! This DIY would make for some adorable Christmas gifts for your gal pals … or to keep for yourself.
What you’ll need:
- 1 Cup sugar
- 1/3 Cup olive oil
- 1-2 Drops peppermint essential oil
- Whisk the sugar and olive oil together in a small bowl.
- Once the two ingredients are mixed well, add in the drop(s) of peppermint oil.
- Rub onto skin for about five minutes.
- Rinse, then moisturize!
