Putting their heads together for something new, Tiffany & Co and Patek Philippe have announced a new collection of watches for Winter 2012/13.
According to Patek President Larry Pettinelli, the limited edition offerings are meant to commemorate the brands’ working relationship.
“This is our five-year anniversary, and we have not made a specific Patek watch — in the men’s, anyway — that would commemorate this kind of partnership. The collaboration had to be something that was interesting to collectors and also true to Tiffany’s classical style.”
Tiffany VP Jeffrey Bennett added that there’s already tons of buzz about the men’s and women’s goodies. “The demand [for the watch] is well in excess of our supply already. This type of pedigree and partnership is meaningful to collectors. Patek Philippe watches are some of the finest and rarest in the world.”
The men’s version will retail for $51,500 while the ladies’ edition will be a bit more affordable at $29,200.
